The Monetary Mechanics
The Mather has two financial components: an Entrance Fee and a Monthly Fee, which vary based on the size and location of the apartment home you select.

The Mather has a one-time Entrance Fee, 90% of which is refundable to you or your estate. Unlike a home purchase that can fluctuate in value, this Entrance Fee is guaranteed to retain 90% of its value.
The Monthly Fee
Virtually all your living expenses—the utilities, property maintenance, lifestyle amenities, daily meals, and future long-term care—are covered with a single Monthly Fee. This dramatically simplifies your finances and provides, in essence, full-service living. The Monthly Fee remains fixed, rising each year with the cost of services. You can compare this fee to the total of the monthly bills you pay in your home, like property taxes, utilities, housekeeping, laundry, lawn and garden, home maintenance expenses, and even health club fees—all of which add up fast.
A Plan for Tomorrow
The Mather comes with a choice of two options for on-site long-term life care services, if ever needed. Couples can choose different plans, and if one spouse needs to move into The Mather Life Centre, the other can remain in your apartment home for the same fee.
THE 90-DAY PLAN
The 90-Day Plan provides up to 90 days of care at The Mather Life Centre upon permanent relocation, at virtually no increase in your Monthly Fee. (Additional charges will apply for extra meals, medications, personal physician fees, and other ancillary charges.) Upon the 91st day, residents pay the daily rate for coverage for health care expenses. If you have long-term care insurance coverage, it may supplement those costs.
THE LIFE CARE PLAN
The Life Care Plan offers you an unlimited amount of additional care in the Life Centre (upon permanent relocation) at nearly the same Monthly Fee you would pay if you had remained in your apartment home, regardless of the level of care needed. (Additional charges will apply for extra meals, medications, personal physician fees, and other ancillary charges.) This plan also provides a limited number of days for temporary care stays. If you have long-term care insurance coverage, it may supplement those costs.
